The Buffalo Bills have hired Buddy Nix as their new General Manager and have promoted Russ Brandon as to Chief Executive Officer.
Fans had been clamoring for owner Ralph Wilson to hire a General Manager to handle football operations and they got their wish today. However many had been looking for someone from outside of the organization.
Nix has ties to Marty Schottenheimer and this may indicate that he may be a potential candidate as the new head coach of the Bills after this season is over.
Wilson warned fans that fixing the Bills problems will not occur overnight and they will need a few good drafts to turn the team around.
Nix brought up Aaron Maybin as a recent example of people questioning the Bills current talent observers and he said we won't know for two or three years if he was a good choice.
He didn't impress me as someone that I would want to coach for and I highly doubt that he will get any experienced candidates that are in demand out there. He reminds me of Ross Perot's Vice Presidential candidate.
