Last night at the Aurora Town Board meeting the town approved the site plan for the proposed development near the corner of Jewett Holmwood and Quaker Roads.
The initial sketch was approved by the town board way back in March of 2008 and the developer actually approached the town board regarding the project in 2006 but the developers had to deal with concerns revolving around effluent disposal. The developer has since changed the plan from using grinder pumps to using a lift station.
Residents have been commenting at the past several board meetings expressing their concern with the safety of the entrance to the subdivision and the proximity to the blind curve which heads up to Quaker Road.
The board said that they took those concerns into consideration when making their decision to approve the proposal.
The subdivision is being developed on 40 acres of land and will contain 33 homes.
