What is usually a quite audience turned loud for the debate during the 27th US Congressional district discussion. Brian Higgins talked with pride about his vote for the National Health Care bill which was passed this year claiming that the US is 37th in overall health care to its citizens. (Higgins was referencing a 2000 study by the World Health Organization. The WHO no longer ranks countries because of the subjective and complex nature of the data)
When challenger Leonard Roberto said he would repeal the law the crowd in attendence applauded loudly.
In the State Senate debate former mayor Dave DiPietro received several rounds of applause as he continuously attacked his opponent Pat Gallivan. He even received a warning from the LWV moderator for not answering the questions.
